Here at Princeton Academy of Martial Arts we are committed to keeping our students safe during these unprecedented times. Safety is our top priority and in order to keep our students, staff, and instructors safe we have to do our part and have made some changes to our operations.

Some changes you should expect to see that we have made are:

  • Temperature Checks
  • Closed common areas such as locker rooms, kitchen area, and weight area.
  • Restrictions regarding browsing and roaming around the academy and pro-shop (pro-shop is still open for purchases).
  • Markings on the floor made with blue tape to ensure social distancing.
  • Sanitizer stations by the main entrance and in every training room.
  • Designated entry only and exit only doors.
  • Enhanced sanitization procedures.

We currently have a modified Zoom/in-person class schedule which you can find under the class schedule tab. In-person instruction is limited to 25% capacity per class. We are accepting new students on an appointment only basis.

Below are some frequently asks questions you made have in regards to our response to stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Do I need to wear a mask?
    • Masks will be required to gain entry into the facility, but once in their designated training spot, students may take them off if they choose. Staff and instructors will have masks on at all times.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 12, 2020 - CONTACT DRILLS

As of October 12th, 2020 the State of New Jersey has allowed indoor contact in martial arts facilities. As of October 12th, 2020 all contact drills will be voluntary, however we must emphasize that if you, or your child choose to participate in these drills, proper procedures must be followed.

  • All of our previous policies regarding mask wearing, sanitation, and temperature checks will still be in place.
  • Students participating in contact drills MUST properly wear their masks. This means a well fitting cloth, N95 equivalent, or disposable surgical type mask without vents that fit above the nose and preferably below the chin.
  • Students will still need to reserve their spots as we still have to limit class capacity.
  • Student’s will need to have their required equipment in class.
  • Student’s will be assigned partners for the duration of the entire class and are expected to stay within their designated areas.
